The Armidale School will have a home game to Rouse Hill Anglican College in a semi-final match of the Douglas Shield, an inter-school cricket competition for those independent schools not in a regular inter-school competition. The match on Wednesday 4 March is expected to start at 9.30am, and will be played on the TAS War Memorial Cricket Oval.
TAS faces Rouse Hill AC having defeated Lakes Anglican Grammar School on the Central Coast on 1 December and Calrossy Anglican School in November.
“This should be a close game as both teams have defeated strong teams on the way to this semi-final game. The boys have prepared well and with the home ground advantage, I’m sure they will put in a good performance,” coach Mr Allan Moore said.
The boys are now one game away from playing in the final, which will be played at Sydney University No 1 Oval this month.
